Hi all,

As you can see we have a new forum system.

I've also replaced the alot of the backend code and user system.

If you guys find any bugs please post them here or email us.

Oh and bug #1 seems to be that when i converted over our existing forum into the new format i didn't copy over the ips/hostnames of everyone that posted. So it seems that you'll only be able to tell which anonymous user is which based on new posts. (the converting of data was very intensive on the server and it caused the site to be down for awhile so i'm not keen to reconvert just for the ips)

Nice work DK
Right down the middle

thumbs down
But the colour chart is not visible under Select Font Colour and the text colour alaways shows as grey
could it be my browser?

and the last posted date in the forum front page has gone over to US style of month, day, year. Makes it harder to see if there have been any recent posts.

Sorry, you do all that work and some shit comes and criticises. I did this by editing my first post, that is a good feature! And the preview and the spellchecker work too. Nice work!

Ok i've changed the default language to be British (dd/mm/yy date format) If any americans like it being the old way (mm/dd/yy) you'll need to make an account and change your default language in the control centre.

Oh and the colour chart works fine for me so i'm guessing it's your browser

Also note that if you have an account the site will track what posts are new and what aren't you should get a red little 'new' next to threads that either are new or contain posts that are new since your last visit to the forum.

I like the new forum DK. thumbs down The only problem I see are the icons "preview" and "post", the background is almost as dark as the text which makes it hard to see the letters. Lighten up one or the other and you're good to go!

I have a suggestion. Well, actually two but they're related.
In the thumbnail pages would it be possible to have the uploader name displayed for each tumbnail?
In the "uploaded by" when an Anon posts all we see is Anonymous. If the Anonymous-number was included that'd be good I think. Unless they leave a comment we don't know which Anon posted it.

But what if the same anons number keeps changing?

I think the main focus of the site should always be the images. If you start to move away from that and put it more towards the users then i believe it would take something away (it'd also clog up the interface even more than it is).

The whole point of Anonymous is for new users to be able to add content quickly and easily and of course Anonymously. The more identification you give out about these people the more risk you have of them not adding anymore.

The simple fact is if people wanted you to know that they just uploaded the last 2-3 images they would either register a login or change the defaulted 'Anonymous' name to something to identify themselves. By not doing this i can only assume they don't wish for people to be able to identify what they have added.

The only reason why we ever did add the @##### was to stop people having in-depth conversations with themselves while trying to fool people into thinking that anyone else would agree with their ramblings, or in the case of ShaDez disagree with them and throw abuse.
