I went to show a friend one of my sunrise pictures last night and two of them had been pulled, last week they had a rating of 3.9 so it wasn't a low rating cleanout.

Every comment I have made here over the last week has been removed and now it seems so are my posts one by one.

Juniors response was 'it is ok for you to remove posts but yours can't be removed'

I removed a comment calling a girl a whore and a picture of a guy killed in a motorbike accident (with the blessing of the site owners)

I just wanted to see this site stay as it was when I arrived around a year and a half ago, the good mix of humour and great photo's posted by the person that took them. A lot of us aren't up to the standard to post to pro photo sites so here was good to show our art. To post a picture of yourself, your wife, daugther, son and know the next time you visit there would be an anon comment 'Fag, Whore, Bitch, Love to fick her all night, love to blow on her face'

How do you get a new visitor to come back and post if they know this will be how their post will be treated.

NGH - Yes, I was involved on a lot of them, I have said before and I will say again I am not sorry for this. This was the reason I got into photoshop and I think i am pretty good at it now. Thanks NGH, there was never any racism in my post of him. That was why I adopted the NGH instead of nigga. I helped a lot of traffic come ot the site go to many aus. newsgroups and you will find a plus613 link almost daily, I started it now a lot of people are posting links to this site.

To those of you that thought it was funny to remove my comments and pics you have not won, in the end it will be you that lose. I would say to the site owners find out who it is before no one comes here.

I just want to clarify what I meant...
I do not agree with your decision to remove the comments that you took offense to. I do agree that those types of comments are rude, sophomoric and unnecessary...however I do not agree with removing them. Some people enjoy those types of comments. Just as you find NGH pics amusing, others do not...
Considering that this site is free, and seemingly dedicated to variety and diversity I think people should be allowed to post whatever pics and/or comments they feel, provided that they are within the parameters set by the admins...i.e. no pics of people having sex, no pics of unfortunate victims of vehicular accidents...
And furthermore, I think it should go without saying that removing your comments and pics, merely out of spite, is completely unacceptable.

I posted a poll 3 days ago about whether we should have a log in to make comments and it was deleted within an hour.

I am hoping the removal of the beach was an accident but I posted 5 pictures that morning and only 2 of them were deleted both the sunrise ones.

Temuchin: If you can give me some image IDs, I can see what's happened. Since the last round of deletions happened in the fossil days, we've logged every admin activity on the site.

I'm sorry I've not been across this sooner, I'm currently doing 80+ hour weeks at work and darkklown has a new job, so neither of us have been able to dedicate the time a site like this deserves. That's why we're really appreciative of all the mods efforts.

Aside from myself and darkklown, the only people who have access to delete (ie, the mods) are yourself, shadez and woberto. None of which, I imagine, would ever hurt the site.

If you can give me the IDs of some images that have been removed, though, I can check.

Otherwise, I really hope you continue posting and supporting the site. You've made a huge difference to it, and we all thank you.

I've had a look and images that have been removed by woberto (uploaded by Temunchin) i don't see being justified. I've restored all images by Temuchin and i'll start reviewing any other stuff that he's deleted.

You can explain the rules all you want, but I think everybody would've been on the same page when it comes to deleting pictures of sunsets. There's nothing remotely offensive, disgusting, whatever about these. It seems more likely it was a personal attack against the poster. Just my $4.95 inc GST.

The Baileys chick was my first named post here about two years ago. It had a good rating etc and some pretty funny comments (along with the usual "man I'd like to lik that". Then someone moved it to the porn site. I discussed this in the forum and majority agreed that bodypaint and the like was not porn, neither were bare breasts in context. So I re-instated the image and it got deleted. I asked who was doing that and re-posted it. I asked again. It was deleted. I have reposted it 47 times since then and the same gutless fuck is deleting it. Temuchin. Fuck him.
I like stiring people up with comments, especially TommyT's supporters. Even though his photos are great I like to say "Bor-ing!" and see how other people respond. People call me racist. the beauty of this site is the diversity of the people. sometimes you just have to laugh at them and move on. that pisses people off even more when they don't rile ya up.

I don't care if people have a go at each other on the site, that's part of the fun about it. I've seen some awesome debates raging in the comments of some images.

The problem with removing images is it goes against the fundamental core of the site. We ask people to help us out, we ask them to contribute. And if they're going to go to the (small amount of) trouble and actually do so, it's reasonable to assume their images will stay for the world to see.

I know there's some contention with pushing the envelope. As I said, I don't necessarily find a nude woman or body paint as being pornographic - it's all about context. This is, as I was reading on the porn site last night, the whole problem with censorship. One man's filth is another man's .. err .. not filth.

At the end of the day though, I hope everybody, especially those who volunteered to help the site, will act in its best interests. Mass culling of images just because of who uploaded them doesn't fit into that bill.

Anyway, woberto, we really do appreciate the effort you've gone to for the site, both as a moderator and as a user. You're welcome back as a moderator any time, so long as you can keep your temper down and work in the interests of the site.

Fail to see how woberto has justified his reinstatement as a mod. Many other posters to this site would be considerably more able to carry out the task.
