Hi all,

I'm thinking about re-writing the UI for the 613 sites but i'd like some feedback from the users. Do you like how things currently are or would you like to see things look a little more modern (new site would use css alot more and hopefully wouldn't look as blocky as this current one does)

It's a fair amount of work to do this rewrite (but once it's done future redesigns shouldn't be as difficult) so i don't want to go ahead and then everyone starts complaining that they liked the old site better.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

If it makes it easier for you guys for future changes then do it, but it looks fine as it is.

Can you change just one of the sites? Then if you have to change back you only have to change one

Same, I think you should keep it the same, it's all very simple and easy to understand

as a web designer i think the current layout does work very well considering its aim. fresh designs are always great though. i spose the fonts, general look etc does need more cohesion and sophistication but i think you should keep the actual layout pretty much the same.

redesigning the logo i think is important. it does look a bit tacky at the moment.

definately keep the white as the background. simplicity is the key.

I like it and there is nothing wrong with the logo. Just make the logo spin up, down, left, & right instead of changing it.

Things look a little tacky, because if you can't tell we're unix admins, not web designers We'd happily welcome people to do logos or graphics for the site. The current logo was made in Paint Shop Pro, was just a font basically. I'd definitely like to improve the look of the site, but not to remove the speed and simplicity of the site. At least I think it's simple, anyway

yeah speed / simplicity is definately the key pulse.

katalyst, and others.. feel free to create any new logo's/graphics for the site. maybe if we get enough interest we can run a competition and let everyone vote on the best logo (with the winner getting IOTW - with some writeup on who they are etc)

I'd also love to see some flash on the mainpage, it looks very static atm.

some changes i would like would be the ability to delete certain pics that i have uploaded and comments that i have made, instead of having to ask to have it done. also would like to be able to block images uploaded by certain uploaders...

The reason we don't allow users to remove pics they have uploaded is we hope that people will think twice before uploading something. You shouldn't have a reason to remove your pic if you actully think about what your uploading.

Blocking users is something that's doable. I'll add it to the todo list.

I would also like to have the option of sorting my image comments from newest to oldest, vs. oldest to newest...

definitely, it was nice but it has gotten ridiculous with all the spam horseshit and uploading content that does not belong on this site people should have to get login in order to upload images and submit comments

Perhaps having the ability to search for the filename or allow other keywords to be added when posting would be easy to implement? For example if you wanted to show someone a witty picture of Colin Powell you would have to search by the posters' title which often has no relation to the picture. For example;
'http://www.plus613.com/image/22701'

i am going to say this again, definitely need to make it so you have to create an acc before you can upload/post i just got thruogh visiting the porn613 shithole and there seems to be a problem with chil porn (and i mean very young children like eight year old girls)
even fully clothed children have no place on a porn site with titles like =i would love to cum all over her face= and =the hottest girl in the world= these pieces of shit that are doing this need to die a very violent deat i'm thinking maybe a cannibal corpse song has the lyrics describing the way they need to be murdered

I have noticed that sometimes people post the same topic in a forum twice. I just realised how this can happen, I posted a topic and then hit the refresh button and that caused a second post...perhaps there is a way to stop this from happening? aside from the obvious, not hitting the refresh button..

I would like to request again the ability to delete...I have tried unsuccesfully to post links and would like to be able to delete the ones that didn't work after getting it right...
