I posted some gross pictures of syphillis and herpes. Yes, they were gross and I'm sorry if I offended anyone. However, they were not pictures of children, nor were they any worse than the pictures of the man with the "vagina". Why did you delete pictures of the reprocussions of what you apparently promote on this site? You've shown dead people and animals, so what's wrong with disease? Honestly, that makes no sense to allow thousands of pics of genitalia, just not diseased genitalia. p.s. If you don't delete pics, you DO promote it.

Read the rules of uploading:

# Just a few rules :
Nothing too dodgy. If you wouldn't show your mother don't upload it. Illegal / disgusting / indecent images are RIGHT out.

Personally I would be quite happy for every single porn image to be deleted off this site. It's not something that i wish and only stays due to the majority of the users wishing it to. However i doubt very highly that the majority of users of the site wish to see those pictures, and the users who do wish to see that kinda stuff can go elsewhere for it. Maybe on another day the images might of stay'd but i was eating my dinner while checking the site and that wasn't something i really needed to view while doing so.

Our thoughts behind allowing pictures of dead people being uploaded has usually got something to do with the situation they are in. For example images of soldiers who have been killed in Iraq and alike illustrate the atrocities of war. And so they don't get deleted. We have had pictures of motor vehicle accidents that have been removed (i remember a pic of a guy on a motorbike that didn't wear a helmet but ended up wearing a bus instead)

I agree on your point that the pictures you've uploaded would do the same but a line needs to be drawn. If we allow those photos then we would need to allow other photos of disease and where do you drawn the line with that. Do we show victims of leprosy? What part of them should we show? Black plague?

That's a very large double standard to work with and I understand your dilemma. The only thing I find curious is that you can go to any local library here and find tons of books on medical ailments. You can also check them out without parental consent or being 18.

[www.plus613.com] Can you go to your local library and find books like this and check them out? Would I show this to my mother? HELL NO!!! However, my mother showed ME alot of medical pics to raise my awareness of STDs. It scared me to death and worked perfectly. ;P
