I know this is going to be a very subjective idea and is not intended to be an attempt to police the site or at censorship but I think it would be a good idea to let people choose what kind of image they are uploading from a list (women, computers, nature, etc) so that viewers can then choose to look at only images of a certain type. It would potentially make the site more useful for people searching for certain kinds of images. I know that people can already search the site for keywords but sometimes this is not effective enough because the recently posted pics of the brunnette and some cars made no mention of either who the model is or much detail about the cars so they would not show up in such a search. Another option would be to allow people to enter keywords that would become searchable like with a web page with search engines.

I know this would rely on co-operation from the site users so would be open to abuse but is a step in the right direction.

Tiw: we should be introducing categories in the near future (both for the forum and images). At the moment none of the site developers (pulse, revert and myself) have any real time to work on new features. Once the holiday break is over more devel work should go into the site.

Another idea: A "public censorship" or "complaint" button.

If anyone finds a picture indecent or offensive, there's a special button which counts like minus 5 points (for example). If an image reaches enough minus points it will be removed at once.

categories could include:
porn - pro
porn - amateur
art
politics
funny
sick
foreign nonsense

It's a decent idea, we and we are looking into the best way to "report" a truly bad image, however I don't know if extra classification categories is the way to go. If we did that, I think people would simply not use it. "Keep it simple" is the way features have to be, if we have 20 or 30 categories it's simply too much hassle for most people to use.

Perhaps something like a "report this image" link with a web form you can fill out a complaint about it might be the way forward..

Gruff, on an international site like this "foreign nonsense" would mean every image as we are not sure wherre many people come from on here.
