That hasn't helped - cleared cache and cookies, and even restarted. I am using W7 and Chrome if that makes any difference.

Try to flush DNS via the command prompt

Tried that - still no go. Is there a size limit of image uploads? It's a 4.21MB jpeg so it's not huge.

I suspect your ISP or your firewall, otherwise more users would experience this too.

Nothing I'm aware of, and the size limit is greater than 5MB (think maybe 10?)

Can you upload anything? Small image?

I've just successfully uploaded a (I think) 14MB image, so I don't think there's a size limit

Nope - wont let me upload anything. Have tried turning off my firewall too. It says it's uploading - even gets to 100%, but then it doesn't show up. I will try it on another puter tomorrow.

It wouldn't hurt to check speedtest.net

10.88Mb/s download, 0.78Mb/s upload. Not sure if that is good or bad.

Well it's all relative, and relatively speaking, your connection is crap.
It's like an old 10base-T LAN.
Or dial-up.
Something must be wrong with your connection Gak.

"Something must be wrong with your connection Gak"

Yeah 'berto - I live in NZ.

I don't think that's the issue though - I have uploaded pics before.

Nah, I'm just being a geek, that speed is fine.
Have you been doing a lot of torrents lately?

Most ISP's use traffic shaping algorithm's to punish torrent users.
If I upload gifs from my laptop I sometimes get the same thing you are experiencing and I figure it's my ISP doing something weird because the connection speed is good enough that a time-out wouldn't happen.
Who's your ISP?

Same scenario here. Dumped the cache, etc., shut down my firewall, no help. And, nope, haven't done any torrents in nearly a year now, so ...

This is a recent problem, but I've now tried with 4 different machines and get the same results (*horse*)

It's definitely related to the DNS server crashing a week or so ago. Your ISP's are having an issue resolving for the image server at plus613.
DK is gonna have to use the force to fix this one.

why did a picture of DK with a honeybun on each side of his head wearing a long white dress pop in my head? (*facepalm*)
