After over a year of visiting #plus613 nearly every day as an anonymous user, commenting on several pictures but only uploading a few I have finally decided to make an account.

I never really saw the point before since I didn't post many pictures and some of you are downright mean to each other. Seems like once you know someone by name you build up an opinion of them based on what little we choose to show on the net and those pre-conceived notions are hard to overcome later. I am registering now because I have a few more pictures to upload from a recent vacation and I wanted to let people know who I am.

I am the one that correctly identified the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile, Fossil's slice of a metorite, That castle in Spain and I forget what else. I am also the one that posted a "where is this" picture from a trip to China that I thought from a webpage about it was the river that runs through the deepest gorge in the world. I forget who it was, but one of you later posted a satellite photo of what I guess is the real deepest gorge and said he enjoyed looking it up and wouldn't have if I hadn't posted that picture.

Since I don't see Beast here anymore, (unless he actually is madmex) I guess it is safer to be known by name now. I must confess I will miss the anonymity and have to be a little more careful in my comments because I have really slammed people in the past on some of these comments and pictures, especially the more political ones.

I found #plus613 in a pretty unusual way. I used to work very near one of John Travolta's houses and the country club I was working at (Spruce Creek in Daytona Florida) sued him because his Gulf Stream jet was too large for their runways, and too loud. Well he won the case and built a house here to spite them even though he rarely ever uses it. Well I heard he was gay and did a websearch about it. In that search I found a really cool picture of one of his houses and it was hosted here on #plus613. I really liked that picture and decided to see what other pictures were hosted here. Since then I have been hooked on this sight, I love it.

I want to thank Pulse and DarkKlown for making and maintaining this websight, and also for moving the porn to the other sight. I would also like to thank all the moderators for helping them get the job done so well. smileys with beer

Posting a self pic is a baby step?

That would be a pretty big step for me because I have seen what people have done with other's self pictures. nerd smiley

Thanks for replying Pulse, I'm glad you enjoyed my little introduction.

Hi Quasi, you're also in Florida right? We might even be neihbors and not even know it...not sure what part of FL you are in though.

Fossil I think you're a one cool dude and I enjoy the antiques and fossil pictures you post along with the beautiful landscape pictures you find. You're the only one that is playing my "guess where it is" game and I love it when I get to win yours! If you are ever near Glen Abby golf course in DeBary Florida (I feel safe revealing that on the net because this is a huge neihborhood and no one could find me just knowing that)...come look me up, I will get you on the course for FREE!

Gee ORLANDO399, who would have ever thought you lived in Orlando? That is really close to me. I played Glen Abbey Sunday night (course conditions are gradually improving and they are the best it's been in years). I played the back 9 first since I didn't want to wait on the front. I shot a 45 on the back and then shot a 38 on the front 9. Catch is that I had to wait some on the front so I played 2 balls off the tee and wrote down the best score of the two. Still despite that I was hitting the ball really well and often times I had birdie putts with both balls. Get Fossil down here, I can get you both on and we would have a great time. I've never played Southern Dunes. Haines city is a bit of a drive from here but I'd love to play it sometime. My favorite course is Black Bear but that's a bit of a drive as well.

I've always enjoyed your pictures pro_junior, thanks for saying hello. Even though we are about as far apart in the continental US as we can get we are still in the same country. With things like the internet making it easy to communicate almost instantly with people all over the world I guess we are all becomming neihbors now.

So far the thing I like best about being registered here is no more typing in all those numbers and letters for anti-spam verification every time I post. That always annoyed me before and I would often forget to do it and have to backspace and type it in. I am glad I don't have to deal with that anymore. cool smiley

I'm over here in what's left of little old Punta Gorda, Lexx. Remember, we mixed it up with Charley 3 years ago then sent him up to you? I like small towns. Don't play golf, not really into sports or games. Like to get out into the wild places, though.

Orlando, your town sucks, buddy. Too crazy!

Gee thanks quasi!I remember seeing punta gorda in the news, you guys had it really bad, glad to see you made it through that ordeal. We lost power here for two weeks and our balcony door blew off and busted our glass door, but nothing even close to what you guys went through.lexx,i was going to play black bear a couple of months back but mother nature took its course.I heard it was a well designed course,as well as difficult, just havent had the time to try it.Did play at lake nona last week shot a 91.

I like Black Bear because it is not only very beautiful but also rather different from most other Florida golf courses. Instead of having narrow fairways through the woods with lots of water everywhere;...Black Bear is wide open, no water and very few trees. The fairways are wider than most but it's also a pretty long course. What I like most about it and what makes it unique is all the elevation changes. Black Bear has huge rolling hills everywhere and the fairway can be as much as 100 feet lower than the tee on some holes. It's a pretty challenging course but works for my playing style because I hit the ball pretty far but not always as straight as I want. I have room to be off a bit on a really long 300+ yard drive and not be in the woods or water.

I played in the Wednesday night 9 hole scramble at Glen Abbey for the first time earlier today. I don't know why I never did it before because since I work there I only have to pay a $10 entry fee instead of the $20 everyone else has to pay (they have to pay a $10 cart fee too). My team came in 3rd place with a net 26 and that payed $15. I got to play a fun 9 and meet some new people and still came home $5 richer than when I left. I am definately playing again next Wednesday!

Hi Lexx, welcome aboard.

Portland Oregon, "A lot like hell, only it rains here".

Quasi, sorry to hear about the nasty weather over there, must be a bitch to have to rebuild and start over every couple of years or so.

Last winter, high winds knocked over my lawn chairs and got pine needles all over my car.

Actually it had been almost 44 years since a hurricane tore things up around here until Charley got us and hopefully it'll be at least another 44. It did open up a lot of peoples eyes to the possibility that it could happen any summer but I think some folks are already on the way to forgetting and becoming complacent all over again.

S'up dood ! Looks like we have at least ONE less anon 'round here now eh ? Nice !!!! 'Course like Fossil said the "full monty" is postin a personal pic smileys with beer

Who cares what anyone here says anyway, I know I damned sure don't !

I suppose there is some measure of recognition and considered continuity once one sheds the anonymouus shroud and grabs a handle for themselves, but all in all that's not really a bad thing. It's really pretty much the same as it is in the real world, yakno ?

Eventhough things can at times become pretty visious and a bit hot under the collar 'round here I find it an interesting way to explore others viewpoints and share my own, even when they're NOT well received (see the above)grinning smiley

Anyway, glad to see you found yourself a suitable handle, so welcome buddy smileys with beer

Nice to hear from MrKim who always have a well worded opinon from what I have seen. I liked what you had to say on those comments on gun control pictues.

I really don't care what people think of me either but I still don't plan on posting a personal pic any time soon. I have some ethics so I would actually post a real one, not some fake pic of a guy on a beach like Beast did a while back.

I may be newly registered but I am not new to #plus613. I have been comming here almost a year now so I know how people are. I know what would happen if I posted my real pic, and even though I don't care what people think of me I'm sure not giving them a picture to start playing around with in photoshop. I'm not the kind that wants to be the center of attention. I'm pretty shy and I keep to myself most of the time so seeing a "Lexx head" shopped on to a bunch of pictures is just not something I am interested in. Not that I think that would happen but you never know around here.

Hi ho .... like I'm fond of sayin ... "fuck 'em and feed 'em fish heads" fossil and the same could be said for anyone doin a photo-chop job on a personal pic Lexx smileys with beer

'Sides, every now and then there's some pretty funny shit derived from such efforts !

Bein shy is OK, but 'round here there's not much use for timid or faint of heart. Like the old sayin goes : If you can't handle the heat, best keep your ass outta the fryin pan .... or somethin like that ... uhh shit, where'd I put that big roach I had ... oh fuck it, so anyway a bear walks into a bar and .... nah, that's a really old one, but uhhh ... oh yeah so like fossil said, yeah that's the ticket YEAH spinning smiley sticking its tongue outmoody smileycool smiley

To make that task a bit easier how 'bout each user with a posted pic just emailin the consenting chop-jock the pics directly ? I only have a cuppla mine here and it's likely that most other posted regs pics are pretty few as well, but tryin to simply find each one outta all the stuff posted here, now that would be a formidable task !!
