I was looking at some old pictures today here at Plus613 and was trying to put in context as to when the pictures were submitted. Some of the political and world events submitions are out of date now and do not have comments placed on them, so one does not know exactly when they were submited. This could also help on the search page, I.E. search submitions from YY/MM/DD.

If you think this is a good idea and think I should ask about it...Then please vote obsesively now.

i said no 'cause some of the copyrighted shit posted, the owners might get pissed. posting their stuff here doesn't really F things up but, that might.

if you're flippin' through pics and find one you like/want to know the post date and it has no comments flip to the next etc... one of them ('cause they run in reverse posted order) is gonna have a comment.

hmmm yes, but what if the next wasn't commented on till a year after it was posted?

all you have to do is vote on it and the system takes you to the next post (in order) and check it for posts. i'd go till i had 3 for a definite tagging.

voting is also a faster way for you poor dial up bastards to view pics faster.

I thought of this as I was useing the RANDOM IMAGE feature and if you advance from the pic and then try to get back, it doesn't which also makes me think that if we knew what page the thumb was on......... To complicated at the moment, BUT I figured that if the date of submition was placed above or below the picture place holder, It could be of use to know what is going on at that time rather than try and guess. Well thats my $5's worth after taxes (2 cents)

It's a decent idea, but yeah I think the reason it was never done was because of the concerns about some of the complaints we receive regarding images.. just better if we don't show explicitly when it was uploaded.

With that said, if it does have an image comment from, say, 2003 .. then it's pretty obvious anyway.

As for the dynamic gallery, that was always something I wanted fixed too, but at the time revert and darkklown showed me just how much work would be involved in sorting it out.. think "re-write most of the site's code" levels of work
