ehh... i'm not to fond of flv myself it was actually alot more work to get those to play on mplayer (still can't get it to play in any other media player) than avi, wma, mpeg, or even dvd's with protection! plus being stuck with ver 9 beta for months (just got the official release last week) ff would tend to go zombie on me when using youtube
it works fine now though, but i'm just saying is all, that flv didn't always work that great for me, plus convert them to xvid or divx leaves you with some shit poor quality worse than convert wma

Someone has been kind enough to upload a hell of alot of movies. Which has highlighted a problem with the animated gif's as a thumbnail. They are simply too large (the gallery is coming out at like 200K per page when it's full of animated gif images). So i've killed all the existing movie thumbs and i'm re-creating them as a more sane size. (around 16k per thumb vs the 32k it was before). Should only take a few mins.

Not sure I'd call it "kind" I gave up even trying to browse past page 8. I'll look again when it's not all movies.

Someone uploaded way too many videos. All I see is pages and pages of red Xs. I can't even find the images anymore and there are way too many videos to watch. In my opinion this is ruining the sight and makes me not want to come here anymore.

If people are going to upload this many videos at once then they should have their own sight for it. There are plenty of video sights on the web already, I come here to see the pictures but I can't right now due to too many videos.

I recently uploaded a few pictures and I wanted to check if there were any new comments and votes on them but they are buried under a sea of videos now.

DK, You never know if or when success will hit you. Personaly, I advertise Plus613 at other sites to evoke more traffic. you never know what is going to be said here and I enjoy it overall.

Personally i don't think i've ever wanted the 613's to be a common site. I'd rather have 10-20 people view and add to the site everyday than have 1000's and 1000's of anonymous users just passing over the site using up all the resources without ever either coming back or sticking around to add to it.

That said i'd love for the site to be a common site so google will buy us for millions of dollars and i can retire

Ok, Ok...still no answer to the number of poster's questions as to why the videos are all linked. I'm having the same problem. I'd like to see the video with the title "How much money to kill a puppy with your bare hands" so I can see if that's for real. If it is, I'm going to hunt the son of a bitch down and rip his entrails out and make him eat his own liver.

I too found it incredibly annoying last night with all the movie uploads. Took way too long to get through even 2 pages of them so after glancing ahead a couple more pages I gave up. One of the beauty of Plus was that when it's just pictures you can pop in for a quick laugh. Skim the thumbs and pick a couple to look at, then take off back to what you were doing. The movies just don't lend themselves to that.

Here's an idea for you. What about a movies/pictures filter? Then we could set what we want to see and not have to wade through the other stuff.

I'm going to look into splitting the site again into a movie613 type deal. Either that or stopping movie uploads. I'm definately going to stop the movie uploads to porn613 as over the last 24 hours we've been sending out 3x our normal traffic and if that kept up we'd be out of handiwdth before the end of the month.

In the meantime i'll look more into making the thumbs smaller to make the gallery work a little better and also maybe replacing the work safer gallery filter with a non-movie filter.

FYI, even piggybacking on my neighbor's wireless/DSL the video thumbnails load pretty slow.

I vote for video on the side, most people like certain types of videos and when they're randomly thrown in there I have to say unless I see something that catches my eye right in front of me I won't even click on it, it just takes up space, If a picture is worth a thousand words then a video is worth millions, well kinda, with just an image your brain works, it (the brain) feeds the image, video's are the opposite, the brain watches and the video feeds or translates info.(I know to deep)

O.k., I am into the video thing bigtime but I'm not going to click on videos that don't draw me in right on the surface and if they're taking up a lot of space and I'm not seeing alot of images I have to say, it interupts my image habit.

To me video interupts the images, it's that simple, I have to say I thought about video here awhile ago (DSL), a good thing, but even the good things have their own time and place.

You guys do really well with plus/porn613. Especially since it's free for us po folks!

I just come here and to porn613 for the pictures. Most of the videos posted here are ancient and are ripped of from other sites.

I dont think you should split the sites up for movies and pictures.

It would be great if you could go into gallery and select "tab a" for pictures and then "tab b" for videos...so splitting the gallery up nicely and been able to switch between the two more effectively.

Also still image previews would be better...is there a way you can code the html to force all uploaded videos to be one size? makes it much cleaner.

The problem with making all videos the same size is you get a video skew.. you can get around this by adding in black lines to make the video fit however way is required but i don't want to be going around formatting videos that people upload. I think the current setup is working quite well.. If we suddenly get a influx of videos i'll have to review how it's setup. But at the moment the odd video once or twice a week shouldn't cause too much havok.

No problems. Just some friendly suggestions.

Keep it up though,i'm glad plus613 has kept it's integrity over the years.
