New Server

Hi All,

We're currently in the middle of a server move. The new server has arrived and we're got a base configuration happening. We have also moved the site over and are in the middle of doing as much testing as possible.

Hopefully in the next few days we'll be able to switch the dns to point to the new server and you should all see a speed increase when accessing the site. This new server will also enable us to futher expand the 613 sites and hopefully launch a new site that i've had in my mind for awhile now.

If over the next few weeks you find the site unaccessable please check back in a few hours and you shouldn't have any problems.

This new server does cost me and pulse money so please if you wish to support the sites feel free to donate (via the donation link on the frountpage) or for you poor people please continue to support the site by keeping those images rolling in.

Once the sites have been moved over and everything is working as expected I'll update this post.

The server move is mostly complete. We're still waiting for the DNS update of www.plus613.com (which hopefully none of you are using anyway) to occur, however plus613.net/porn613.com/porn613.net are all now running off the new server.

It should be a helluva lot faster for most of you - this is a proper machine we're running from now.

And hopefully, as DK has said, we'll be looking towards launching some new sites in the near future.

I do like the new format much better, but little did I know when you changed everything, it logged me off. Couldn't figure out why I was unable to post in forum. No biggie. smileys with beer

Seems we're having some issues with the new server. Seems resolved for now but the site was down for around 5 hours.

Working on a system to allow `Regular users` to be able to moderate the site. Basically users with either 600 forum posts or 1000 image uploads will be able to cast a vote against a image to have it removed. When enough users agree the image will be put into a sin bin and me and pulse would come along and either remove the image or throw it back into the regular image pool. It's still in testing and that X shouldn't of appeared for you yet winking smiley

To Pulse or DarkKlown:

Here is what is happening.
I look at an uploader and preview that users list then I choose a different uploader, it shows me the original list. I have to close my browser (Internet Exploiter 6.whatever) in order to look at anyones elses upload list including my own.


This also happens on the plus site also
so if I look at
[www.plus613.net]
I see all my uploads. The when I go to say
[www.plus613.net]
I still see all of my uploads

anyway, if this is a common thing then I'd like to let you know about it and if it isn't I am slowly migrating out of Microsoft anyway and Moving over to Ubuntu/Fedora anyway.

It appears we have some faulty hardware with the new server. I believe it's either a fault with the cpu or motherboard. We are having techs look into it. In the meantime you may notice the site going up and down.

Thanks, it's only comments like yours that keep this site going. I've been pulling my hair out all day (sunday!) trying to get the hosting companies techs to look into this. This new server may be cheap but you can really tell quite quickly where monies are saved compared to our last hosting company. Why can't hosting companies have a cheap service and competent tech staff.

In the advent of failing equipment, I find harsh language tents to help remedy.

Everything seems to be working very well now but I think you need to reset the clock - it seems to be off by a few hours. I checked my personal settings and am in the correct time zone. Seems like a minor problem but sometimes minor problems can affect other areas and cause real problems.

Thanks again for your hard work and this great site.

Checked this posting as soon as it came up and it said 3:03 PM while it is actually 9:02PM. Sorry for the bad news but if this is the worst of it, it's not that bad at all.

Unix time stamps are most likely set by the location of the server.
I'm guessing Texas time but I'm too lazy too look it up.

Texas time is only an hour or two earlier than me, this is more like Nome, Alaska time, almost to the International Date Line.
