I can handle all of it except the fucker carrin a rainbow version of the flag. That's a bit far off the mark for my tastes.

Why not a rainbow flag? Aren't people of all colors equal here? All religions and creeds? I like it! LOL!

Rainbow stands for fags dude. Want your flag to be used to symbolize homosexuality ? I personally don't care to.

So we let the fags ruin rainbows for us? When I look at a rainbow in the sky I am supposed to think "Man it's too bad the fags took those away from us.." Get real. What about the Rainbow Coalition? What about Rainbow Bright? What about Care Bears? What the Hell am I talking about? I need sleep.....

Tellya what Anonymous@94109, feel free to show off your appreciation of the rainbows meaning by huffing my wicked weasel at your earliest convenience.

You chickenshit fucker, at least I have balls enough to sign my name to my comments instead of hiding in the shadows calling out your name. Probably why you'd side with the rainbowesque crew anyway. What a joke upon yourself you are.

"the rainbowesque crew" are AMERICAN CITIZENS. I don't like em but they got rights. Guess what? Anonymous@94109 IS my user name! Gotcha! My point was that no matter how much the fags or anybody else CLAIMS something, they can't take it away from you unless you LET THEM. When your kid sees a rainbow and asks where they come from what do you say? DON'T LOOK AT THAT IT IS QUEER?

When I see a naturally occuring rainbow, there is a certain beauty in that. And yes, my children are aware of the differences between the 2 types of rainbows being discussed here.

However, when I see a homosexual blending of the homosexual communitys sybolic anthem along with the flag of my own beloved country I'm not enthused at that image, nor will I ever be.

I never confuse the 2 different types of rainbows as I have a solid understanding of the origins and meanings of them both.

I'm not fearful of gays or homophobic in any way. I respect their choice and freedom to pursue a lifestyle different from my own, which is all a part of the American way, at least for myself. Where we will always be at odds however is when that lifestyle choice spills over in a way that besmirches my countrys flag.

Who gives a flying fuck about flags, really? Why do you yanks get so distraught about them? It's pathetic...

I suppose that's one perspective, just not my own. Seems sad to me for anyone to NOT care about their own countries flag.

Did we vote on that flag? I sure did not. It it the principles BEHIND the piece of cloth and ink that is noble and good, NOT the flags DESIGN. You know, the priciples of our founding fathers and pioneers like KILL THE INDIANS AND TAKE THEIR LAND! And don't forget lets' get some Africans and make them SLAVES! And only property owners can vote! WOOOOOHOOOO! USA! USA!

Yes, I guess we all suffer the sins of our forefathers, but that does not change things nor does it justify them. A flag is strickly symbolic for the country it represents. I agree, war does not solve anything, but as long as we are there, we need to try to right things, even if they were for the wrong purpose. Complaining about things in the past, will not help. Leave slavery alone, I believe we have learned that lesson. Forget the Indians, they have suffered enough. Lets make it right for the few remaining descendants that they have. We need to concentrate on getting our country out of Iraq, and everone else's business. Let the UN handle it like it should. My suggestion for the two posts above, is shake hands and try to get along. Life is to short, to live in the past.
