I just pissed away 18K on a new R1-LE that I can't freakin' ride because the streets around here are flooded....raining three weeks non-stop.
I need to move to TX, Fossil. But will I need to buy a dinner plate sized belt buckle and some shit-kickers?

90130, don't worry, it will stop raining here in june...
as for texas, i have been there several times and yes, if you want to fit in, you will need a dinner plate sized belt buckle, shit kickers and don't forget, a ten gallon hat...
years ago, a buddy and i would go to jubitz truck stop after the bars closed and eat chili and cheese omelets, one time i asked beverly (my favorite waitress) why all the truck stop cowboys wore dinner plate sized belt buckles, she leaned over to me and said "hun, that there is a tombstone, and the bigger it is, the longer it's been dead"
not sure if i would want to ride in tx anyways, what with the armadillos and all...

I'd better get me one of them big-ass belt buckles. I need all of the nut protection I can get! And the way our stunt riding friend Duane's going, he'll need one to cover his entire body!

My folks had a few horses on the family property years ago, before this messed up place got so full of itself. I rode a big but gentle Palomino named "Commander" without any tack, had a Western style saddle at my disposal, but eschewed that and rode mostly Indian. Just a blanket on his back.

Dude the bike just did it again but no injuries. What can I do to get rid of the power surge at 2000rpm.

Check the throttle position sensor on the throttle bodies, if this is not functioning properly, the EFI computer can't figure out throttle opening/angle/percentage. Have a Kawasaki dealer check this out, or look into the ZX12R websites for more tips on how to do this yourself before it makes your kids fatherless.

Thanks man,I called the dealer and they said they would check if the throttle bodies were not working right,do you think it will help smooth things out on acceleration if I get a powercomander if this will not work.Dude I went to pull out and I was listening for the rpms but it went from nothing to everything before I got five feet, back tire went nuts but I was awake for this one.I know the tire is not supposed to spin with that low rpms,it was at 2000 when it tore loose and had a coniption. This bike is super frigin touchy.Oh yeah the reason I mentioned the powercomander is because it has a full muzzy exaust and it surges between 2000 and 2500rpms.It feels like its goes from 50 to 120 hp in 500 rpm.

If they cant fix it Im selling this damn bike.It rode fine this fall but it dosnt like winter.I wonder if the tires(dunlop 208's)have anything to do with it?

Duane, first off, Dunlop D208s are freakin' slippery bastards when they're cold...they're DOT track tires, and work best after getting warmed up a few laps. Not winter tires! Get a Power Commander and have them dial it in. This will smooth out the idle to midrange response.

Thanks man,I hope this cures it.If it fell over on the right handlebar the week before it couldnt have caused any of this could it,I mean what you just said makes the most sense but Im just doing the process of elimination. Thanks for the help.
