I supported it long ago but they never got the cost down to $100 per pound in payload as originally advertised. It still costs $10,000 a pound. Nasa has done a lousy job of paying for themselves. They should be making money, not begging from the tax payers.

agreed....but, what we have learned because of nasa is astounding.

Yes we have learned a lot but how does it transfer to practical benefit for man. I think its been quite a while since they invented any new tech. as a result of the space program. As for the knowledge of deep space, its interesting but it doesn't translate to practical benefits.

i'm putting us at around 25 years before any substantially significant discoveries can be made to enhance our lives "astronomically"
