Just watched the video on the link above. It is amazing to see the respect and
honour shown to those soldiers. I am too young to remember much about the
Vietnam war, but it is well documented that the returning soldiers were often
not treated with the respect that those who fight for their country deserve. I
hope the soldiers returning alive from both Afghanistan and Iraq are treated
with the same respect and honour these people are giving the dead Canadian
soldiers, and that applies to US, Canadian, British, Australian, NZ, or whatever
other country those troops are representing. Whether a person agrees with the
war or not, that should not diminish their gratitude towards their armed forces
for defending their freedoms. <end rant>
