My youngest kid had an electric bicycle for a while a few years ago. It was fun and I've been thinking about getting one but can't really justify the expense.

I considered buying an e-scooter. If I bother to go into work I normally just hop on the bike, it's only a few mins away. For some reason though sometimes I would prefer an e-scooter.

We have ones where you basically rent them by the minute all around me, but the Melbourne city council ended up banning them from the city so I can't actually get anywhere but within my own council area with one anymore. A bit annoying.

Get your brothers V8 on historic plates, drive it 40 days or whatever insurance allows, park it on a fucking roundabout, pay the fine and STILL be cheaper per year than a fucking -scooter.

I rented a few of the lime ones. They're pretty handy. For super short trips I see a point..

Handy to zip to work. But given I'm only about 2k away then .. bike is also pretty easy.
