Sunrise over Chillicothe, Ohio this past Sunday, the last day of operations for
the paper mill that has been the major employer for the town for over 150 years.
What came out of the stack was mostly steam, horrible smelling steam from the
paper making process that one gets used too.

Yep, just buy it all from China.
We don't want to pollute our counties so we outsource it to countries that don't
care about the environment.
Then we get upset at all the environment conferences that China, India &
Bangers won't sign-up to emissions targets.
Our last great paper mill is Maryvale, VIC but they only make brown papers now
because of the ree frogs or the poissums or some such shite.
That one cost 350 jobs and now all our copy paper comes from shithole
countries.
Although some of them buy our woodchips and sell it back to us a paper so that's
OK I guess.

Same as us selling bulk ore, rather than steel for the 100x markup that we buy
it back for.
I lived quite close to this papermill in the late 90s/early 00s

Now it's houses and apartments.
