I was in first grade when this song came out and the theremin in it seemed spooky, probably because of overuse of the instrument in 1950's horror movies I watched on Saturday afternoon Creature Feature on TV. Didn't seem like good vibrations at all.

Felt surreal that just a couple of hours after I made my comment yesterday, I read that Brian Wilson, the creative force behind The Beach Boys, had died. He was a troubled soul and suffered from dementia in his last years; may he rest in peace.

Or 3:35 in the case of Good Vibrations. But even then, one of the best pop songs of all time.

I always thought God Only Knows was their best song. Not as upbeat as the rest but great harmony, music..

Pet Sounds is a good album.
