In Washington state, a 6-cent per gallon gas tax increase went into effect on July 1, 2025. This hike, part of a broader transportation funding package, raises the state's gas tax from 49.4 cents to 55.4 cents per gallon. The increase also includes a 2% annual adjustment for inflation, starting in 2026.

And proudly I did vote for Ferguson. Do you suppose that tax money is going toward something that benefits the state and its citizens, like roads and schools and such? Maybe it could have something to do with how a certain orange toddler has said he will cut off federal funding to blue states, which according to the charts are pulling their weight while it isred states that rely on government help?

The right complains constantly about government handouts, but then also complains when they pay for not getting them.
