Quoth the wiki; The desert or semi-arid land commonly known as the outback makes
up by far the largest portion of land.
Australia is the driest inhabited continent; its annual rainfall averaged over
continental area is less than 500mm.

Quoth the Wiki:
The contiguous United States occupies an area of 3,119,884.69 square miles
(8,080,464.3 km2). Of this area, 2,959,064.44 square miles (
7,663,941.7
km2) is actual land, composing 83.65 percent of the country's total land
area
And:
Comprising six states and ten territories, Australia has a total area of
7,688,287 km2 (2,968,464 sq mi).
Australia is very, very similar to the contiguous 48 states IF you include
Tasmania (our largest island which .. isn't the mainland); which is somewhat
cheating since we're not counting Hawaii or Alaska here. Broadly the same though
because it's not separated by other countries, or thousands of miles.
US population to land density on average is fuck all. Australia is fuck all x
100.

I have no interest in visiting USA because culturally it's not interesting to
me.
i.e. probably pretty similar to Australia.
However there are some landscapes and animals that I think are amazing.
And I would love to see some of that one day.
