Wikipedia says he's Bull Chief. Doesn't spec what tribe but that after his
fighting days went to be with the Crows.

Moorhouse & Curtis were a disgrace with these "studio shots".
Whilst many of their photo's are fantastic historical items which depict real
life dress & behavior,
the portraits were often dolled up with clothing or head pieces that had nothing
to do with the individual or tribe.
Thereby tarnishing their work as a whole.

'berto's right, most of the pics from The Library of Congress were from his
collection. they were most always dressed up for the shots (literally)
