You'd think somebody could make a working duplicate checker around here?

Then again I think we disabled it because people were complaining series of pictures were being rejected. Hrmph. Can never win eh?

Maybe there just needs to be a statute of limitations, although one time when I was posting a series of sequential pics the dupe checker stopped me. The dupes provide amusement of their own sort anyway.

A search by image would help for both posting and pullovers. I agree Quasi. Sometimes if it weren't for dupes there would be nothing worth commenting on at all.

BTW, I like that pic even tho it's a dupe. The layout of the knobs and calibration markings are fucking ridiculous and crack me up. Of course that is for a reason

We have "similar" images. It's not search by image, but it's how I found the other posting of it.

Yeah.. it's only really available on older images, where it's had time to see what it thinks are similar.

Have a look at woberto's link above, and then refresh that image until the similar images box comes up on the left hand side, you'll see what I mean.

Maybe we need to expand on that. There was a reason it didn't work for new images. It's just in the 5 years since we put it there I don't remember what it is

I'd like to look at developing some new features on the sites again.
