Oooohh! You sure have impressed me with your spiritual hammer balancing.
Whether you believe in God or not, showing a simple physics example neither
proves nor disproves his/her/its existence!

God is obviously holding up the right side. Duh. Or at least figuratively
with the laws of physics he gave us. If God could preserve the Bible as the
literal truth through all these centuries (despite that friggin' idiots kept
changing the words and inserting their own "meaning"

, then he can perform a silly balancing
trick.
BTW, I want to try this at home, any tips? Of course I will pray, but that did
not do much for my stock portfolio.

It was years ago, but we did something similar in a physics class with a bucket
with some sand in it and a couple of small boards. There are two key elements
to make it work and look "impressive". The center of balance of the
whole system has to be directly under the edge of the board, and the weight of
the support part of the system is very small, relative to the weight of the
object you're hanging. When you solve all the force vectors, it ends up
"looking" like a plumb bob, and have you ever seen one of those that
didn't work?

my god is laughing his ass off because some dumbass paid a drink to see this
kindergarten physics demo.

skipped 2 grades when i came back to the U.S.
fossil_digger Report This Comment Date: November 13, 2008 12:04AM
U.S. private schools were different back then, they didn't push their religious
beliefs, or ram some liberal or republican twisting of historical facts horse
shit down your throats like today.
GAK67 Report This Comment Date: November 13, 2008 12:24AM
At least with so much info available online now it is harder for facts to be
slanted without someone eventually noticing there is another way to view things.

yeah a few of those rich ass hole kids did piss me off, but buggered was not
nearly as popular then as today.
although one of the schools did have a pretty gay looking uniform.
