yes they last longer....the mercury in them will last a helluva long time at
the dump.

And, none of them are made in the US, most are made in China. So, our ever
vigilant congress just handed China a huge market for this product that if
broken requires a special team just to clean up and can not be simply put into
the trash when they wear out ..... GENIUS
