A woman who punched and drop-kicked a kitten like a rugby ball has been banned
for life from keeping animals.
Nicola Collinson, 21, from Gateshead, was filmed attacking the young black and
white cat in a street in January.
She earlier pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to the animal and
was sentenced at Gosforth Magistrates' Court in Newcastle on Monday.
She was given a 12-month supervision order, and a six-month night-time curfew on
top of the lifetime ban.

Put her in cage with a hungry lion and nothing to defend herself with and wait
for what goes around to come around.

Well, I guess we're all in agreement on this one. If I'd witnessed this fucking
troll harming a defenseless animal in that manner, I'd just save the police and
courts all the trouble and cap the bitch in the skull with my .45 ...end of
story.

it was a cat. Not like it was a dog or something useful

You would kill someone for the sake of an animal? Now we know how little human
life means to you. I would cap her if she was abusing a child or some other
human but not for abusing a cat. The most she would get from me would be maybe
a black eye and a fat lip but certainly not death. Not even if it was my dog.
I hold human life much higher than animal life.

Psychologists have determined that cruelty and inhumane treatment of animals
leads to the same behaviour when dealing with humans.
Look at some of the most prolific serial killers and murderers in history and
you'll find that connection in their profiles.
I'd still cap the bitch.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuck...I really hate to admit this, but i'm on 90130's side on this
one.Agression on animals will eventually lead to agression on humans..good point

There are some unusual twists and contradictions to the example I made
above.
Adolf Hitler was an animal lover, who had an Alsatian (German Shepherd) named
"Blondie" who spent most of her time at her master's side, thoroughly
unaware I'm sure, that her caretaker was a monster who was responsible and
complicit in the systematic murder of more than six million people.
He also wrote some rather bizarre things pertaining to the humane treatment of
animals intended as food. Like how to humanely cook a Lobster.

Until that person kills a human then they should not be killed for harming an
animal. I do not say she should be beaten for what she did but she should not
be killed for it. Just because some believe mistreatment of animals is a sign
of future mistreatment of humans is no reason to destroy that person until they
actually do harm to a human.
