YES, THERE IS NO LIMIT...THE MORE YOU KILL THE MORE YOU MAKE FRIENDS WITH THE
FARMERS IN THE AREA.

fossil_digger Report This Comment Date: August 21, 2007 12:57PM
that's the way it should be! in texas there's a limit of (i think) 2 which is
stupid when you consider that they are the most destuctive animals around. good
for nothing but BBQ.

Damn. I only wish I lived where there were hogs to hunt. All I have here to
hunt are deer, elk, bear and antelope. But I can only hunt those during the
fall. I'd love to be able to hunt all winter and spring.
PS, I love being a "fucken redneck murderer". It keeps my freezers
full and my family fed.

Fossil, I live in Idaho. Right now I have tags in my pocket for deer, elk,
bear, cougar, turkey, antelope, salmon, and steelhead. Antelope season started
last week. The rest start in the next month or so. Makes for a busy fall, but a
fun one. Need to find some hogs within a weekend's huntin radius though.

i've always wanted to bear hunt, but only camera shots.
sounds like an awesome season there.
we have so many hogs in Texas it's rediculous!
my dads deer lease has all the hogs you want as well as deer. there's also a 5
acre pond. i caught 13 fish all over 5 lbs one time.

but the lease is in Ranger Texas about 2 1/2 hr.
drive.
Idaho has some awesome landscape and is on my list to do before i die.
i prefer dove and quail hunting over something like bear and cougar 'cause i see
them as easily replentished naturaly. bear and cougar are too far and few
between to warrant hunting them.
steelhead? i'm there man anytime.YUMMMMM!

Actually, fossil, bear and cougar are way over populated right now. They are
high enough in population to be having negative effects on the elk populations.
If you ever wanted to hunt a predator, this is the time around here. The other
predator we have in abundance around here is wolves, but you cant hunt them.
They are still protected. I dont mind having a healthy population of wolves,
but it really sucks that I cant take my dog back packing with me in some areas
of the state any more. The damn wolves will kill a dog anytime they encounter
one.

I forgot to mention the birds we have too: Quail, chukar, hungrian partridge,
pheasant, ruffed grouse, blue grouse, dove, ducks, geese, sandhill cranes,
...
The cranes are hunted by draw only, but everything else is legal with your
license.
Some times it's a tough decision whether to head out with the shotgun or the
longbow.

My Springers had a field day up in Idaho at my folk's place. Going to Stanley
for a little R&R this fall.
