This particular engine was used to run a large irrigation pump as were many of these engines, and judging by the fuel intake set up I'd say you're right. I found some GM literature that says it was actually 702 CI (11.4 litres) with 625 - 630 pound feet of torque from 1400 to 2100 RPM and 275 HP at 2400 RPM.
