Right, it's much better that billions of tax dollars a day go toward a vanity war rather than programs that help the sick and the poor. Isn't it about time for the U.S. to invade Australia now?

The way Trump is going I'm expecting the announcement. I'm surprised he hasn't completely dismantled the AUKUS idea yet.

With that said I'm good to help the poor/needy. I pay more than enough tax and I'm perfectly happy for some of that money to go to social services. And even public transport, even though I'd usually hate it. It costs me the same amount to go 100 metres on a tram, as to go 800km from Mildura to Bairnsdale via train.

We spend enough, much more that enough in fact.

But we will all be old and useless one day and so will rely one the state.
So vote with your head and make sure you understand what the politicians intend for YOUR future.

Oh, there's no fucking chance I'm getting a pension, even if I'm dead broke.

We do so much to protect the boomers and none of those facilities will still be there by the time we get through, the country will be broke.
