If I may interject: While you may not hear such verbiage used, my experiences from the dating world were that women are looking for men who don't still live with their mothers or in a dorm/group of friends, and have the means to pay their bills (I didn't say they were rich, I said they're not dependant upon others to make ends meet). Just being an adult, basically. And what said ladies had told me is that there are a lot of guys in their 40s who are indistinguishable from college guys in that regard... not being strong, independant men.

Interesting. Where I am the first thing women ask about a man is "Is he intelligent?" It's been asked about me. With the number of mine workers here (Australian wages) the ability to pay the bills is left-right-centre.

But there are other things, as one woman found out. She'll never say it, but a new house, where her husband agreed to the garage and laundry on the south side (away from the sun here in Australia), on 2000m with endless greenery views to the distance and he filled it with a dark coloured metal shed for vehicles and a swimming pool too small to be useful in between. And a concrete wall for privacy for the pool. That's a cooling cost for the house they didn't need to have and the downward plunge in her view.

Another man built an over height metal shed as a garage and, apart from being higher than the house, it has a massive car port size awning in front and is the same colour as his 4x4 - black. They have a decent size block with lawn and trees, old red brick, tiled roofed house set back from the road and... that...

As for the shire council that permits it, I've heard criminal claims from three directions. The town planning is a dog's breakfast.

The saying that corruption leads to decay is true. One of the claims was this corruption has political protection (in return for doing dirty work). The other party is in power in New South Wales and nothing's changed.

Women are a kind of Schrodinger's whatsmacallit.
They are simultaneously in an inert state of VICTIM and EMPOWERED.
...until something happens...
Then she chooses which state benefits her most.
