Trump and Epstein? What about James Patterson?

PJ: Did that prosecutor give Patterson a summons? If not, the man knew he was not a participant.
Also, it's in Trump's nature to leave a lot of details out. If Trump talked about what Epstein did, he left out what he himself did.
And just because Trump didn't accept p3d0 behavior on his home ground doesn't mean he didn't do it on Epstein's territory... as victims have reported he did.

Cognitive, Trump has an oversized ego of a peculiar and rare type - it doesn't allow him to fail. So the only question his supporters like Kim have to ask themselves is about his first term in office: did he deliver for them? Yes or no.

It's Yes or no. No other answer, several layers of context denying reality or trying to re-frame circumstance to what you want it to be.

I'm Australian and it's the only thing I need to know as it affects the market here (the stupidity of allowing foreign investment and free flow of capital across borders). I don't read US pages on news sites. What happened? Share prices in gold miners went down. They were overpriced anyway so there's no buys there. Life goes on.

I'd say with the media, dems and even a majority of his own republican party doing their damnest to subvert every thing he attempted to do in his 1st term, yeah I'd say he did well.

The international borders were more secure than at any time in my life time. The economy was goin great guns, inflation was being reigned in and w/unemployment at historically low levels. Our international foes and partners understood the ramifications of their actions and peace prevailed, not even mentioning peace in the hottest spot in the middle east, Israel.

And then of course that wonderful gift of COVID hit from China and destroyed every financial gain that had been made and millions of folks were nearly instantly unemployed as businesses were shuttered, temporarily or permanently, here as well as in most places on the planet.

Of course those same groups mentioned above did their best to pin that disaster on Trump so the final months of his 1st term were rocked with recriminations and outright untruths.

I've often said if President Trump were able to just quietly implement his policies and let the results speak for themselves that would have had a more beneficial impact on his standing in American politics. But, as was mentioned, that special type of super ego he possesses winds up with him stepping on his dick every time he goes into a Twitter/X tirade or in many of his public speaking engagements.

Regardless, I'll take A President Trump over a Harris debacle every day of the week smileys with beer

Guess you'll see, since he's going to have control of all aspects. No more excuses about being held back, he'll own everything from the bottom to the supreme court.

PJ, Quasi, Peter, any others, your thoughts?

Today I heard two women complain about TV (here in Australia) carrying on about a yank election. Both gave up TV before this but know people who've absorbed anxiety from it - when Australia's constitution doesn't cause anxiety.

We have enough to worry about with so-called 'scientists' refusing to accept any report of a new species unless a scientist discovered it. They actively stonewall people who report seeing things and hunters who provide photos of what they shot - it's total arrogance. You can speculate it's about getting their names in lights in the scientific literature, preventing panic and protecting tourism, but it borders on spiteful.

There are still plenty of never-trumper rinos that will gum up the works any way they can.
Trump won't have as much control as people seem to think...

I'll second what Pro said. President Trump is still considered an interloper by the political class, even within his own party so they'll all be on the hunt for even the slightest misstep and the (now considered legacy) media will hound his every word and move, just like in his 1st term (throwup)
