The idiot that wrote that post should do some research first before posting such nonsense: A quick web search shows that this is not unusual and this occurred well before we stated blaming the burning of more burning fossil fuels for climate change. When someone, anyone, can unequivocally prove that this hurricane is a proof positive result of global warming, global cooling, climate change or whatever buzz word you choose to portray it to be a result of, please do ... I'll wait (*binladen*)

did climate change cause North Carolina's 'Great Flood of 1916' too?

In the past decade hurricanes, including major hurricanes of Category 3 and above, have been more numerous and developed more quickly than in the past and Helene continued that trend. Damage and deaths from Helene in NC have far outstripped those of 1916 though that may be attributable to the increased development and population in the last century but that means more people are at risk everywhere. And then there's the damage and death through the length of Georgia to add to it. This is the third hurricane to strike the Big Bend in 13 or 14 months, two of them majors, and that frequency in the same general area is also suspect. This is hurricane season number 45 for me as an adult who needs to pay close attention to this stuff and the last few years have been off the hook as have been record high temperatures here.

Be thankful that there are no die-hard Christians reading this board that would claim this is the wrath of God for homosexuality or whomever you choose to vote for.
