starts comin through the Polks at the same time. Audio and visual treats, just
right, thanks 'berto

I miss my Polks.
I still have them in my office but haven't been plugged in for 3 or 4 years.
They block the doorway. I put the car keys on them ..
Since we moved into this place it really doesn't have space for them in the
lounge. Yet.
And the in-ceiling speakers are atrocious, desperately need replacing. Just so
lazy...

My lil casa in the sticks offers about the best acoustics I've ever had to work
with and that coupled w/my closest neighbor bein about 100 yrds (roughly 100
meters) away enables me to give these puppies a good workout whenever the mood
strikes me.
Added another pair of 'em to the collection 'bout 6 months back so there's now a
bevy of 6 Polk towers spread around the LR, then splurged for a nice Yamaha
powered subwoofer, bringin the system to a healthy 10 speaker set up all in all
w/the 2 bookshelf speakers wall mounted as presence speakers and another wall
mounted center channel.
Though big time audiophiles tend to poo-pooh Polks they seem to thread a
suitable balance between spendin waaaay too much on speakers vs the lower level
crap that's out there.
Kinda tempted to sell off some of the high value car parts in the collection and
swap 'em out for one of Yamahas high end AV receivers. Not that it's really a
necessity but dayum they make some really sweet equipment. My RX-V871 Yammy is
no slouch but bumpin up the output another 50 watts per channel might just
finally rock the house offa the foundation
