I have seen a couple on the usual antique and pawn TV shows and there appears to be genuine collectors of this stuff out there.
Would be hard to confirm the age, apart from obvious visual wear, me thinks.

this one claims to be early 1800's....yea

if you haven't seen it, Lincoln the vampire slayer is a bad ass flick. surprised even me.
