Besides the type of architecture where is this building and what is its

Apart from being th Dark Klown's lair, I suspect it is in a reservoir and does
some pumping.

Other than the obvious "wet commute" issues in living in such an
abode, coupled with no realistic possibility for garage space for my wheeled
toys I'd love it. Talk about privacy, and yeah, everyone knows zombies can't
swim, so ...

Definitely a reservoir pump station but with a few reno's it could make an
awesome home.
I'd be putting a couple of external decks and awnings on the north and south
sides to catch the winter sun.
It would be great for those summer weekend parties too.
Plus a hydraulic dry dock (hoist) to lift your boat out of the water when you
park in the garage.
Great chick magnet if that's your thing, cos they can't get away when you put
the hard word on them :-)

Oh wow, so given the above pic it looks like there'd be a way to both drive
under the pump house and park, along with ample garage space. Throw in an
elevator to get up above the water to the station and I'd be all over this
place, except .... now we lose the critical "no zombie access" aspect
too

Which frankly is the most important part of the house purchasing decision.
My house is not zombie proof. I have failed
