yep, and they get pretty angry if you leave one locked....
however, these

are used to lock containers together...the problem in the pic above is with the lock on the chassis, which is different...the lock on the front of a chassis is more like a cylinder that slides back and forth horizontally...

also..sometimes it isn't a matter of forgetting, sometimes they just get stuck...

the chassis attaches to the fifth wheel, just as any type of trailer would...the chassis has built in locking devices to hold the container on, front and back are different though...
