This reminds me of something that happened involving teens at a slumber party,
one of the girl's mother's vodka stolen from the freezer and refilled with water
and returned to the freezer. Quite funny but not for the parties involved the
following morning...

This makes me think of English beer. It is way too warm at American temps.
The best temperature is about 50 degrees -- warm enough to have the flavor come
out, but still slightly cool.

Jeez man, when I did drink beer, a temp just above freezing was my preference.
If it managed to have a few chips of ice floatin around in it, all the
better.
Then again, growin up in a climate zone just a few degrees aboves Hades medium
temp for 3 or 4 months a year might have somethin to do with that

Agreed. Beer should be cold. Fact.

Depends. Most ipa and pilz need to be cold. Stouts and porters should be cold
when poured but left to heat up before drinking. But even there it can get
different. So many beers I can't possibly keep up with all the beer I drink and
have to take a break now because can't think too well
Lagers def have to be cold always!
