I believe you about the `Stang crunch that it couldn't have been avoided, and
I'm very glad that you didn't get hurt. For what that's worth anyway.
I have been in one accident that totaled the car I was driving. It was a
head-on, definitely not my doing and completely unavoidable. My car being there
saved the punk in the pickup that hit me from a 50' drop into a lake.

the girl that rear ended me was talking on the cell phone wile driving with a
full cast on her right leg...and she couldn't believe she couldn't stop in time.
it was a '94 (i think) Z-34 Lumina and i had sent the 3rd payment off that
morning on the way to work.

*touch wood* I've only been in 3 accidents, only 1 while I was driving and none
serious.
1 was DK being a retard, wasn't a bad one but probably wrote off his work car
taking out some pillars on the albert park grand prix track (while it was a
public road). That must've been 1998.
1 was in the US, my ex, her roommate and I were driving somewhere north of
Galesburg, IL and hit a deer, which did an amazing job of destroying the front
of the car. And her windscreen. The roommate was driving.. probably 2002.
1 was in the UK, I had my old busted up Supra and it was raining and I pulled
out infront of another car going through a rounadabout. He was going too fast
and I lost traction and didn't take off as fast as I should've, so he hit my
drivers door. Was only low speed, but with that and the head gasket issues on
that car it was enough for me to scrap it and buy a new Supra. I think that was
2003.
The amount of fuckwits I've had to avoid on the roads though, I'm stunned I've
not had more. Also in my 20s I had a real habbit of driving fast. Very fast.

i have avoided so many bad accidents that would have been someone else's dumb
ass fault it's scary. a truck similar to Junior's flat bed blew a tire on time
changing lanes into my lane, the trailer tilted to the side and slid out to my
right. i had a split second to react or go right underneath it. i cranked it
right hard, slid the back end around, stomped the gas, and shot 2 lanes over and
out of the way while checking my mirrors for the escape route.
another time a guy in a old beater caprice came up hard on me in the fast lane,
i moved over quick, he flew by me doing at least 100, he cut in front of me
missing my front end by inches and went sideways, i yanked it back into the fast
lane missing the concrete wall and him by inches. i could rattle off a few more,
but i'm shaking now thinking of that last one.
