I went for an early morning hike yesterday and captured this image that I like
very much. I like the red hue given to the trunk of the pine tree by the light
from the rising sun, and the way the light mist makes everything beyond the
shoreline look almost like a painting framed by the darker, more solid images in
the foreground.

Some of the leaves aren't green and the brush isn't so thick that you can still
see the lake.
That's how we know it's Winter here in Florida.

Thanks, guys. I didn't even know this place existed until I noticed a small
sign on my way back from visiting my son & grandson on new year's eve. The
entrance to this conservation area that's only accessible by foot is only about
five minutes from here, so happy new year to me. And this pic was a happy
accident that happened when I set out to get pics of the setting full moon and
rising sun which were juxtaposed. None of those shots turned out to my liking
and this one was just an aside, really.
