Got a name for your new baby .... how 'bout The Fossilator
Since ya haddn dialed it in on a dyno yet what was your best run/time?
When we get some time we oughta do some playin with your new toy .... and next
time leave the G/F at the casa. All that screamin in my ear was seriously eatin
into the fun factor

dyno reservations are 2 weeks out.
she is not coming with me to the track next time, she freaked out when i said i
wanted to run, so in the spirit of getting some, i was a spectator. there were 2
cars there with basically the same specs as me and they ran in the 8.8-9.2
neighborhood. she sat at the finish line on the fence, but i heard her whisper a
few choice words to my other baby.

If you plan on doin any other upgrades 1st I'd put off the dyno session til
afterwards or you'll just get to spend that $$ twice (headexplode)
Few chics are supportive of guys fascination with their wheeled toys. Many of
'em are basically attention whores and quickly tire of the attention and $$
gettin spent on the ride instead of them. Then scads more of 'em whine every
time you plant your right foot with them in the car (<-like your chic
does).
My buddy in Lewisville is one of the few lucky cats I've ever known whose wife
actually LIKES to go fast, so much so he even had to leave a passenger seat in
his fully roll caged ride just so she could be a copilot, and ..... she not only
has never begrudged his toys or the $$$, she was a major contributor to his
projects even before they were married.
Then again Lauren is a very special lady in lotsa ways and I'd say they're both
pretty lucky to have found one another
In a rare glimpse of how well they work together my buddy called me up a cuppla
wks back and told me about a new speed boat hull he'd come across and wanted to
see if I'd be interested in workin on a twin V-8 inboard build for it. He and
Lauren eventually sat down and did the math and figured it would wind up costin
at least $60k to do it and with a similarly set up boat from a known inboard
company sellin such a set up for over $120k, a custom one-off would be unlikely
to achieve the same value and could even risk goin in the hole over the deal so
they 86'd the idea.
As much as I'd have loved to been a part of that program, with the economy in
its current state I could only agree that such a risky venture at this time
could be financially perilous for these 2 and lauded their decision to err on
the side of fiscal sanity
