Never cared for Volvo, but that car is kinda cool. Riminds me (a litle) of a Chevy Nomad, which can be tricked out to look freaking awesome.

Man, now that Karmann Ghia really brings back some memories. My Mom had one that was custom painted with 9 different shades of actual flakes of metal applied over a base coat of metallic blue then sealed (had a really rough finish all in all!). At the time (somewhere around '68?) that was their solution for "metal flake" paint.

I spent untold hours in the late 60s toolin around town in that car listenin to Janis Joplin, The Doors, The Stones, etc with my Mom on the ol mono AM radio it had in it. Good Times
