one little fact i liked was that you could stand the statue of liberty inside
the dome and have room to spare.

So that's what it is. I thought they were doing a remake of "V" out
in Arlington.

Nice Place. How are you paying for it? Taxes on what?
As of the 2008 season, the Cowboys won the Super Bowl in the following seasons:
1971, 1977, 1992, 1993, and 1995.

Sorry Fossil, doesn't float my boat.
I am more interested in how they built it, and the crane they had to use to
assemble those gigantic cross members.

the 2 arches are twice as long as the St. Louis arch, but only half as high.

fossil_digger Report This Comment Date: August 25, 2009 04:33AM
the blocks the arches are anchored to are i'd say...30 ft. square, and the
bolts are 16 inches around. the chairs in the suites are all leather. the glass
in the suites all rotate air out etc.. or they slide to the left and into
compartments between suites. the end zones are all glass and do the same double
rotation, when the roof panels are retracted, it's almost, kinda sorta,
convertible. fuckin' cool as hell place, but the prices are outrageous....the
reason why i paid $15 for the tour, i'm watching the games on t.v. from now
on....or 'till JJ gets his NFL network shit kicked off completely.

i must add that i have never really cared much for the look of the stadium,
Texas Stadium was fine to me, this stadium is by far the coolest in the world!
well, 2nd to the new Chinese Olympic......nah
fossil_digger Report This Comment Date: August 25, 2009 04:42AM
the scoreboard/TV, cost 40 million, Texas stadium was only 35 million. the
scoreboard/TV is the biggest in the world (4 sided) and takes 12 people to
operate. also it is the first stadium in the world with suites on the game floor
level. wait 'till ya see the elevator the playrs come up and run out on the
field, on either side of the path are private clubs with no railing.
