OK it's a cutting forme, the pattern is not important (I think it makes a bin with a header card that stores put stuff to sell on special).
It's one inch timber, laser cut, with type-high steel rule inserted to make the cuts. They cut these hand holes in the really big ones like this because it takes two people to carry 'em around the factory.
You need a much bigger version of this...

... to get things happening.
Not that size in important but how would you like to have one that big Kim?
