I was trying not to google-cheat. A quick search didn't turn anything up.
Now that I look more closely, the vegetation looks more like it might be
somewhere fairly dry. Spain, maybe, or Portugal. Not too dry, though, because
it looks like a vineyard on the hillside. The valley doesn't have the
round-bottom glacial look, so more to the South, Mediterranean area. Could even
be Italy, I guess.
I know it's not one I've seen before. The style and condition of the castle
would make me think later period, say, 1700's, but I could be totally wrong. I
really don't know that much about them. The architecture of the village doesn't
seem to narrow things down much, either.

Well, actually the flag on top of the castle. What I would like to know is how
does one obtain the answer anywhere else but Google? ...unless this kind of
stuff is in an area of expertise or a serious hobby for you. It's not worth the
time otherwise. Anyway, I Googled the answer. No, I won't give it away.
