what does a saxiphone have to do with popeyes?

It alludes to the fact that Popeye's originated in New Orleans, the "Birth
Place of Jazz" or so they say. And what's more symbolic of Jazz music than
the Saxophone?
Personally, I like Popeyes, and waited to try it out until they finally built a
restaurant on the "white" side of town so I'd be sure to have my car
waiting there in it's parking spot when I got back.
It's ok as far as chicken goes, and better than Col. Sanders. If you have high
cholesterol or triglycerides, stay away and eat a salad at home instead.

My friend traveled a lot and he used to always go to McDonalds in every country
because he knew you would get a semi-clean washroom to do your business. However
in New Orleans there was a rather large black man in the mens room who mugged
everyone who went in there. The staff would not call the police because he would
no doubt get back at them and so that was the norm. The price of admission so to
speak.
Also on the hostel door there was a sign that was update every week...
"Tourists killed last week ="
Attached was a map of suitable streets and streets to avoid.
Is it really that bad?

'Fraid so. There are a good number of American cities where you would do well
to avoid altogether on a visit.

Hell yeah, there's places in Dallas you do well to stay out of at night, and
places you can get away with nappin on the sidewalk without a problem. S'pose
it's the same most places but when I go outta town no tellin where I might go
that I shouldn't
