OOO BUCK is .36 cal. AND only 10 to 15 pellets (.36cal pellets per shell)
Triple Ought Buck in this situation more that likely would have killed.

Looks a lot like 7 or 8 shot from more that 20 meters.

BTW, I trained with a Mossberg 500 in the military. I use a Benelli M4 as a defensive shotgun.
