Hey PLP I just this mornin came across a steal on DDR2 on Tiger Direct ! After
rebate it's $49.95 for 2-1gig sticks of DDR2 RAM with heat sink coolers on 'em.
And ... they have a bad ass memory cooler fan set up to do what it looks like
you're attempting there with 3-40mm fans that clip over the memory slots on the
MoBo and take care of coolin all 4 memory slots for another $30.
I'd LOVE to add another 2 gigs of DDR2 to my machine, but am runnin waaaay low
on spare schekels at the moment

take a look at
PCCLUB!
right now they have ddr2 4gbyts at 800mhz for $99. Tiger direct is good for off
the wall stuff but PCClub tends to have better prices, but less selection. I
have gotten some awesome stuff though from Tiger. You know I hate saying it but
if you know what you are looking for exactly Fry's Electronics Can (Use the word
loosely) have good deals now and again also.

Those fans are inefficient due to the dust and lint accumulation. A good
cleaning would help lower your temps even more.

Sorry for the misquote earlier ... they are actually $39.95 for each pair of 1
gig sticks of DDR2 so 4 gigs would be $79.90. I'll have to check out PCClub,
thanks !
I hear ya about Fryes and you're absolutely right about havin to know what
you're lookin for .... especially if you are in the store they have here ! We
lovingly refer to it as "the jail" this time of year. Once you get
your purchases picked out it can take 30 minutes to an hour to juet get through
the line(s) and out the door.
So ... if you know what you want it's actually much easier to just get it online
and have it shipped and avoid the hassle

gee thanks for the help tucan.........
Mr.Kim
thats the carnival I remember from Socal. I use to make "Moo"ing
noises out loud in line at frys. one time I took evercat to the place and her
tits were the staring attraction some how as we strolled down the endless
'cave-in's of isles.
having the UPS guy show up at your door is indeed so much easier.
