Heard that quasi ! Jeez it's been a long time since I saw a pump that
dispensed "ethyl". I can still remember buyin 100 octane leaded gas
for under .30 a gallon at any gas station around. Today that same fuel is sold
as "race gas" for $6.00+ a gallon !!!!

If you add one Zero to the carwash price, it would seem reasonable in today
prices, yet at the same rate add one zero to the Gasoline price and it DOES NOT
equal todays prices. Economist have been telling us that the buying power of the
dollor is at an altime high in comparison to goods and services of the
"then" era. hmmmmmmm?
Thanks for sharing spaz!

I worked at a Texaco in Houston and remember pumping it for $.26 a gallon.
Checked the oil, air pressure and cleaned the windows too.
