Be happy while you can...before Prodi sells you out to the EU.

Whatever happe ns with Prodi cannot be worst of what happened with Berlusconi:
he ruined our economy our research and our instruction system, in other words he
ruined all the components that make a country civil and rich....
...ah, and yes, I think it is better to be in the hand of the EU community (in
which I believe and hope) then to be in the hand of one rich person that want
only to become richer.

democracy?...perhaps I don't know it...you know, we are poor people from
mediterranean countries, and here we have never had democracies in thousands of
years...so could you please explain?

democracy · n. (pl. democracies) a form of government in which the people have
a voice in the exercise of power, typically through elected representatives. Ø
a state governed in such a way. Ø control of a group by the majority of its
members.
– ORIGIN C16: from Fr. démocratie, via late L. from Gk dUmokratia, from dUmos
‘the people’ + -kratia ‘power, rule’.
If you've been paying attention, you'll realise that this is not the style of
government favoured by all those unelected officials in Brussels.

I don't see why? Can you explain?
However, taking this definition, the italian democracy was more in danger with
berlusconi, as he could influence unfairly the eletionships with hes televisions
and newspapers (remember that he is the only person in Italy who owns television
channels that cover the whole country and who owns most of the newspapers; and
when he was prime minister he controlled also the 3 public national television
channels, so in other words, our democracy was REALLY in danger.
