It was a great loss for everyone on Friday. God bless you George and may you rest in peace.
I'll remember you for being the best footballer in the world, you inspired me in many ways, your passion for what you did on the pitch and your humour to live life without regrets are but 2.
Peace be with you Georgie Best

Yeah, just watching a small doco about him on the tele today, he really was one of the best.
A real shame and a real waste of talent.

No surprise that he was fossil_dick's idol. Admittedly, he was a very talented fotballer but let's not forget that he was also a womanising, alcoholic wife-abuser who wasted the precious gift of a liver transplant by returning to drink.

He wanted to to be remembered for his football because he knew he was useless off the pitch. A wiseman once said that no other success can compensate for failure in the home.

now that I'm older and much wiser, i realize that professional athletes must have a out of the spotlight life that's an example to everyone especially to kids. athletes that are convicted of crimes need to be removed from the spotlight as an example to others. basketball players are perfect examples, glorifying the whole gang scene. DEPLOREABLE!!!!!!!!!
