People wrote the books, obviously. They've been screened, translated, edited
and manipulated over time by religeous leaders and political powers. My
conclusion is that those leaders are claim them to be the work of God.
Honestly, I truly believe in God, but not because something in a book or some
zealot told me to. I don't live by a book. I don't reject any wisdom and insight
they may contain either. Baby and bathwater comes to mind.
If there's nothing in any of them for you then dismiss them, but burning them
all is IMO over the edge and just as fanatical and over-zealous as those you
apparently protest against.
