Contract to be signed within the next week for the US Army to use Australian
electric ammunition technology.
Metal Storm advises that the US Marine Corps (USMC) Systems Command, on behalf
of the USMC Warfighting Laboratory has placed a notice on the US Federal
Business Opportunities website, that it intends to award a Sole Source research
and development Contract to Metal Storm for the design and fabrication of a
stacked round firing system for FIN Stabilized High Explosive Ammunition.

A bit more effective, but the same principle as used on the Apache I flew
during the first gulf war, and maybe as good as the Vulcan gattling gun on the
A-10 Warthog.

Reference made but omitted, to the GE Mini-gun. These used a mechanically fired
primer, whereas this is a electronically fired munition. Pretty cool.

I think i remember that metalstorm uses magnetism to fire. If that's right,
it's doggone weird.

The principle I was alluding to is to put as much destructive energy into in
your target as fast as possible.
The M230A1 chain gun on the AH-64 accomplishes just that.
